Who we are
Gaindex is a community-driven protein powder review database. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it.
What we collect
- Account info — when you sign in with Google, we store your email address and a unique user ID. We do not receive your Google password.
- Profile info — your chosen nickname, optional bio, and Google profile image may be displayed publicly.
- Reviews — the ratings, text, and timestamps you submit for products are linked to your account.
- Usage data — Vercel Analytics provides aggregated site-usage information such as page views and device or browser category.
- Browser storage — authentication cookies keep you signed in, and local storage remembers products you add to Compare.
What we don't do
We do not sell personal data, run advertising trackers, or process payments.
How we use your data
Your email is used only to identify you when signing in. Your reviews are displayed publicly on the product pages, attributed to your user account. We do not email you marketing material.
Where data is stored
Account and community data is stored in Supabase (Postgres). The site is hosted by Vercel, usage analytics are provided by Vercel Analytics, and authentication is handled through Supabase and Google OAuth. These providers process data as needed to operate their services.
Your rights
You can request deletion of your account and all associated reviews at any time by emailing us. Once deleted, the data cannot be recovered. You can also sign out of your account at any time using the “Sign out” button in the navigation bar.
Children
Gaindex is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child has signed up, please contact us so we can remove the account.
Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top. Material changes will be announced on the homepage.
